TMKOC 

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) is one of India’s longest-running and most popular sitcoms. It first premiered on 28th July 2008 on Sony SAB and is produced by Asit Kumarr Modi under Neela Tele Films.

•The show takes place in Gokuldham Society, an apartment complex in Goregaon East, Mumbai.

•The show focuses on the lives of the Gada family, including Jethalal, his father Champaklal, his wife Daya, and their son Tapu.

•The show covers topical issues in a humorous way.

•The residents of Gokuldham face daily problems and find solutions to them.

•The show was created by नीला असित मोदी and असित कुमार मोदी.

•It's based on the work of T.M. Mehta, who wrote for the Gujarati newspaper चित्रलेखा.

•TMKOC is one of the longest-running sitcoms in India.

•It's also one of the most controversial shows.  • Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is reportedly the richest actor from the show. 

Main Characters

Jethalal Champaklal Gada (Dilip Joshi) – A Gujarati businessman who owns Gada Electronics.

Daya Jethalal Gada (Disha Vakani) – Jethalal’s fun-loving wife known for her Garba and unique laughter.

Taarak Mehta (Shailesh Lodha / Sachin Shroff) – The narrator of the show and Jethalal’s best friend.

Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide (Mandar Chandwadkar) – A strict yet loving tuition teacher and Gokuldham’s secretary.

Dr. Hansraj Hathi (Nirmal Soni) – A food-loving doctor.

Roshan Singh Sodhi (Balwinder Singh Suri) – A lively Punjabi garage owner.

Popatlal Pandey (Shyam Pathak) – A journalist always in search of a bride.

Tappu Sena – A group of kids led by Tipendra Gada (Tappu), Jethalal’s son.

TMKOC holds the record for the longest-running Indian sitcom, crossing 3,800+ episodes and still airing after more than 15 years.

Popatlal’s "Shaadi Kab Hogi?" is one of the longest-running jokes in TV history—fans are still waiting for his marriage!
